In 2016, the French national Library contacted Saltimbanque to create the digital campaign for Gallica, its free-access electronic library.

How to give visibility and attractiveness to a historical and cultural service?

Saltimbanque chose to address this serious topic with humour, to create a mismatch, arouse curiosity and make accessible what can seem opaque to certain people. In its web banners, the agency put a playful and ironic spotlight on original and authentic documents, like reviews, pictures, engravings and texts.

Thanks to this action, Gallica has benefited from a new visibility and a more accessible image, that allowed to attract several new visitors.
